Patient Support & Education

Bariatric surgery can be a life-changing step toward dramatic weight loss  -  but it can also impact your health and lifestyle in other ways.

Education and support are key to losing weight and maintaining your health. Here, you can access resources for every stage of your bariatric surgery journey, connect with local support groups and find tools to help you stay on track.

Bariatric surgery is a lifetime investment, and you are never alone. Our team of bariatric specialists is here to help you achieve long-term success.

We can help with:

  • What and when you eat – A registered dietitian will create a healthy eating plan and recommend any supplements or vitamins you need.
  • How to exercise – A fitness expert will help you develop a regular routine that fits your lifestyle and keeps you moving.
  • How you feel about yourself and your body – A behavioral health specialist will provide emotional support when you need it. It’s normal to feel emotions like confusion or anxiety as you start your new life.

Support after surgery

Baritastic weight loss app

The Baritastic app is one of our favorite tools for bariatric surgery patients. It offers motivation and support before and after surgery through a weekly motivation tab, easy food and water logging, and reminders to help you stay on track. It also connects you to in-person and online support group options. Talk with your bariatric team to see how the app can support your weight loss goals.

Support groups

After bariatric surgery, it’s important to maintain healthy habits so you can keep the weight off. Our team offers support beyond your first year after surgery, and we can connect you to local support groups. These groups provide a network of people who understand your journey and can share tips, encouragement and accountability.
