Sleep Testing

Find answers for better sleep

A good night’s rest is essential for your health. If you snore loudly, wake up tired or feel sleepy during the day, a sleep test can help uncover what’s interrupting your sleep. Banner Health offers both in-center and at-home sleep testing so you can get accurate results in the most comfortable setting for you.

Our sleep specialists will work with you and your insurance provider to ensure testing is efficient, affordable and personalized to your needs.

What is a sleep test?

A sleep test, also called a sleep study, monitors your body while you sleep. Special sensors record information such as:

  • Breathing patterns
  • Heart rate and rhythm
  • Brain waves
  • Oxygen levels
  • Movements during sleep

This data helps your provider understand what’s causing sleep problems and guide the right treatment plan.

Sleep tests can be done:

  • At a Banner sleep center for detailed overnight monitoring
  • At home with a simple testing device, often used to evaluate sleep apnea

Your sleep specialist will recommend the option that works best for you.

Sleep study options

Sleep studies help diagnose sleep disorders like sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, parasomnias and chronic insomnia.
